About

We help turn unclear product ideas into working software.

UpShft26 operates in the space between product thinking and engineering execution, where most projects stall, become overcomplicated, or get handed off to someone who wasn't in the room.

01

Not an agency. Not a freelancer.

Agencies hand the work down. Freelancers hand it over. We sit somewhere in between: small enough to stay close to the work, but technical enough to handle serious systems. No account managers, no handoffs, no brief that gets summarized before reaching someone who wasn't in the first conversation.

Direct access. Decisions made with the full picture. Work that reflects the actual conversation, not a filtered version passed through layers.

02

Products fail in the gap.

Most product failures do not happen during the build. They happen earlier, when the wrong assumptions become the foundation. What should this actually do? How do the pieces connect? What happens at the edge cases nobody thought about?

That gap is where we work. We design the system before writing a line of code. Not because it's methodical, because it's the only way the product survives contact with real users.

03

Two sides. Same thinking.

Work is the applied side: startups on their first real build, companies rebuilding internal systems, and teams that need a technical partner without hiring a traditional agency.

Labs is where we explore publicly: product ideas, system concepts, and tooling experiments we believe should exist before they become obviously commercial. Both sides feed the same body of thinking.

04

The long view.

The projects we take on matter to us beyond the engagement. We are building a track record through products that hold up, systems that can scale, and decisions that make future work easier.

The goal is to be involved in software that matters, for founders trying to figure out what to build, for teams trying to figure out how to build it, and for ideas that deserve more than a template.
